Build-on Brick Mug That You Construct Your Coffee Cup

If you’re a coffee drinker who also happens to be a fan of Lego or other building blocks, ThinkGeek has the perfect mug for you. It’s called the Build-On Brick Mug and is compatible with almost every major building block manufacturer out there. You can snap blocks onto the mug from Lego, Mega Blocks, PixelBlocks, KRE-O, and K’Nex Bricks.

The mug holds 12 ounces of your favorite liquid, including coffee. The outside of the cup has flat areas with holes to attach bricks that use pegs and the little raised circles we’re familiar with from years of building using Lego.
The cup is made from BPA-free plastic and is available now for $19.99. You have to hand wash the mud and I doubt you’ll be able to microwave it without melting it.

Lego is officially going Back to the Future

You have to love any toy that lets Lego fans design and vote on what sets are created next. It shows that they love their fan base. Thanks to crowd sourcing site Cuusoo, a Back to the Future Lego set has now become a reality. Great scott!
The campaign was launched over a year ago and since then the project has gathered over 10,000 supporters to get this set approved for production. Here is the info: The set will be called 21103 Back to the Future Time Machine. The original campaign was for a Lego DeLorean in three different forms. There’s the standard DeLorean from BTTF 1, with a Marty figure, skateboard, and a Doc figure. The DeLorean with hover modification from BTTF 2 along with Marty, a hoverboard, and Doc in his future outfit. And a western-themed BTTF3 set.
We don’t know which set Lego has chosen to recreate right now. Probably the standard BTTF 1 set.

Wii Mini Gets Taken Apart Revealing A Few Surprises

Tech wizards Digital Foundry have taken their screwdrivers to Nintendo’s new Wii Mini gaming console to reveal to all what exactly inside. As explained in our earlier posts to keep the costs down of the new Wii Mini gaming console Nintendo had to remove a few of the features that are included with the larger Wii.

One of the main features to be removed from the smaller Wii Mini is its wireless connectivity, but during their teardown Digital Foundry failed to even get the console online using a Wii USB Ethernet adapter. meaning that Nintendo has “deliberately nerfed any kind of internet access”.
As well as no Internet connection the Wii Mini also doesn’t support an kind of component cables, and only supports composite cables, the red, white and yellow cables you might be familiar with on your SNES console. Eurogamer explains:
“Bundled in the box is everything you need to get going: the traditional Wii staples such as the sensor bar, power supply, AV cable and a rather spiffing, very Christmassy bright red Wiimote Plus (in matching rubber sleeve) with matching Nunchuk. Aside from the instruction manual, that’s your lot, but it’s all you need for the vast majority of the titles out there. Support is included for some additional Wii add-ons including the Balance Board, but beyond that, any semi-serious user is going to annoyed and frustrated by the sheer lack of functions and expandability offered by the new hardware.”

Tokyoflash Kisai Zone Watch

The guys over at Tokyoflash have released their latest Geeky timepiece, the Tokyoflash Kisai Zone watch, and as usual it takes a bit or working out to tell exactly what time it is on the watch.
The Tokyoflash Kisai Zone uses hexagons to display the time, it it also comes with the date and an alarm and is available in a range of different colors. An interesting feature of Kisai Zone is its constantly moving display. Seconds are always changing and fractions of seconds continuously rotate. An additional animation sends hexagons spinning around the screen once every 15 minutes. Both of these animations can be turned on or off.
