My Skin Track pH tracks your skin hydration

If you are interested in yet another lifestyle and health statistics to track you might be interested in the new My Skin Track pH which takes the form of a small wearable sensor stuck to your skin to measure your bodies hydration level. Developed thanks to a partnership between L’Oreal and wearable sensor pioneer Professor John Rogers the small sensor uses a companion application to provide details on your bodies hydration levels.

The My Skin Track pH by La Roche-Posay Helps you keep your body skin hydration levels between 4.5 and 5.5 pH. L’Oreal explains that if your body is not in between those pH levels “a compromised pH balance can trigger inflammatory responses, including dryness, eczema and atopic dermatitis.” check out the video below to learn more about the hydration tracking sensor and compatible companion application.

The pH scale ranges from acidic to basic, on a spectrum measured from 0 to 14. Healthy skin pH exists within the slightly acidic range between 4.5 and 5.5. When pH balance is compromised, whether through environmental factors and underlying conditions, it can trigger inflammatory responses. Such responses can cause or exacerbate common skin concerns including dryness, eczema, and atopic dermatitis. Millions of Americans suffer from these conditions; according to the National Eczema Association, 1 in 10 Americans (31.6 million) have some form of eczema. “

Tron Identity Disk

Identity discs issued to Game Grid programs appear as solid discs with several concentric rings on the surface, glowing with their owners' circuitry color. The circuits glow more brightly when the disc is in use, and have been seen to change size or flash on and off when active. In flight, old-system discs appear as uniform circular planes of light in their owners' circuitry color, trailing comet-like tails as they fly towards their targets. Despite this appearance, they are still solid to one another, and ricochet from other discs with an audible clank.

BMW Announces Competition Package for M5 and M6 in July

There is no denying the fact that BMW makes some of the most luxurious and some of the sportiest cars for sale in America. The BMW M series are some of the most popular luxurious sports cars on the planet. While the most popular in that range is probably the M3, that’s certainly not the only M-series car BMW makes.

On the higher-end of the company’s sporty range comes the M5 and the M6, which are honestly geared more towards luxury than outright sport. BMW has announced a new Competition Package will be available starting in July for both of those vehicles that up the output of the standard V-8 engine under the hood hp. The Competition Package gives both vehicles a 15 hp boost bringing total output to 567 hp.
The package also brings 20-inch M wheels along with the sport exhaust and black chrome exhaust tips. Other than a slight boost in horsepower the Competition Package also brings some chassis modifications such as improved stabilizer bars for better handling. The M5 is also lowered around 10 mm when equipped with the Competition Package. Another interesting tidbit that the package adds is a BMW Active M Differential to provide improved traction and driving precision. BMW hasn’t announced pricing for the Competition Package just yet, but you can count on this being more expensive option for the vehicles.

Google Glasses Infographic Explains How They Work

Even before Google even officially launches their new Google Glasses, they have been causing a few concerns regards privacy, but if you would like to learn a little more about the technology and mechanics behind the revolutionary Google Glasses eyewear.
A new Google Glasses infographic has been created to shed a little light on the technology Google is using in their Google Glasses and how it will function whilst being worn.
By wearing the Google Glasses higher or lower on your nose you are able to move the transparent screen in to and out of your peripheral vision as desired.
The Google Glasses infographic has been created by Martin Missfeldt, who explained that he still has some concerns about how the device will work with users  who require normal prescription glasses. As is seems additional adjustments will be required in order to focus the image correctly.
“Google Glasses is a technical masterpiece. It combines numerous functions and features in a very small unit. In addition to phone and camera (photo, video), it offers Internet connection, including GPS.
The core feature of Google Glasses is a visual layer that is placed over the reality (“augmented reality”). This layer opens a door to amazing new possibilities. But how does it work? In the Google Glasses contains a mini-projector, which projected the layer via a clever, semi-transparent prism directly on the retina in the eye. Because of this the image, even though it is so close to the eye, is sharp and clear. You can move the front part of the Google Glasses easily to optimize the focus.
Depending on how you wear the Google Glasses, the layer appears in the upper right corner or in the middle of the visual field. When the Google Glasses is high on the nose, so that you can practically see through underneath, you must turn the eye up to view the image sharp. Because the prism is semi-transparent you can also place it directly in front of the pupil. In that case, you have the sharp layer directly in front of the eyes.
The biggest challenge for Google will now be to make the Google Glasses also usable for people with normal glasses (to compensate for a low vision). In this case the Google Glasses has to be placed ahead of normal glasses – which doesn’t look and feel well or like a glass. Or Google has to manufacture individual customized prisms, but this would be considerably more expensive than the standard production.”

Best Headphones 2013

Headphones have become the ultimate accessory. A fashion statement for some, a necessity for others, headphones come in all shapes and sizes and the functionality ranges from the most basic to the truly innovative.
Best Headphones. If you're looking for the best headphones for your iPod, iPhone, MP3/CD/DVD Players, or looking to get more audio enjoyment from your smartphone, tablet, media player, or computer, new headphones will do wonders. To help you find the perfect set of headphones, here is the my guide for you to find the best headphones.
A host of companies, some old and some new, have leaped into the high-end headphone game. Some are worthwhile, some are price-friendly, and some just plain rock.
Almost a reaction to all those loudly coloured and plasticky headphones that are so popular today, Sennheiser's elegant and luxury Momentum headphones pump out the tunes with class.
The end result is a nice high-end offering from Beats, although the noise cancelling function has issues. It still requires a pair of AAA batteries, and when those run out, your headphones won¡¯t work; the Executives only function when noise-cancellation is turned on. Headphones are a notoriously subjective choice. One person¡¯s desire for lightweight, open-backed sound is balanced by another¡¯s need for cans heavy on design statement, or just heavy. Fit/comfort: Unlike most consumer-electronics devices, you actually wear headphones. So how well a set of headphones fits you¡Âªyour head, your ears, and even your ear canals¡Âªplays a significant role in your long-term satisfaction (or lack thereof).

Is Amazon selling stolen iPhones?

If you got that shiny new iPhone 5 for Christmas, be careful. It may be stolen. Even if it was bought from Amazon.

Twitter user Ben Dreyfuss bought his mom a refurbished iPhone from Amazon for Christmas, and when they called Verizon to activate it, Verizon support informed the pair that the phone was stolen. Yeah, merry Christmas. That situation stinks. Dreyfuss said he purchased the phone through one of Amazon’s refurbished warehouse deals. He says the Verizon representative didn’t quite believe the phone was purchased through Amazon, and questioned if Dreyfuss actually bought the phone through eBay. Amazon was apologetic about the whole thing though other than have the Dreyfuss family return the phone and order a new one that hopefully wasn’t stolen.
Luckily Amazon has great customer service. Hopefully this didn’t happen to many people.

Remote Controlled Helicopters Are Fun But Take Some Practic

Remote controlled helicopters are undoubtedly a blast, a great pastime and a lot of fun with the kids. These little (or big) flyers can also be a source of danger so it is imperative that you learn, use and teach safety precautions and proper flying habits for remote controlled helicopters so that the fun stays fun! First and foremost before actually flying the copter you should check that all the parts are present,

Make sure that the batteries in the remote are properly charged so that you are able to maintain control and communication when the craft is in the air. Once you’ve secured the equipment, you can move on to the more entertaining stuff.
Remote controlled helicopters should never be flown indoors, unless they are specifically made and marked for indoor flight.
Preparation
Before doing anything else, you need to search out a take-off/landing spot for your remote controlled helicopters. Find a flat.open space free from gravel and away from any bystanders and especially children is ideal
Ensure that there are no telephone or power lines nearby, and that everyone around is aware that you’re going to be using remote controlled helicopters.

Practice drills are necessary when it comes to expertly flying remote controlled helicopters.
Not having control of the copter can cause safety issues for the flyer, bystanders and for the craft itself. Wind plays a huge factor in maintaining control of your copter, and you’ll always want the nose of the helicopter facing toward the wind. Keep your eye on the front (nose) of the craft when directing it to keep steady balance and always stand at least 8-12 feet behind the helicopter before you start it up.

Apple I Computer

We have heard previously of Apple I computers going for serious amounts of money at auction, although it looks like the latest one sold has raised the most money to date, as one was sold at an auction in Germany recently for a massive $640,000.
This beats the previous record for an Apple I computer which was sold back in June for $374,000 at Sotheby’s, which means that the value of the device has almost doubled in just a few months. The Apple I is such a rare computer that we suspect prices of these devices will continue to rise over the next few years and we suspect it wont be long before one sells for more than $1 million US dollars
